Drone LiDAR Scanning
Millimeter-accurate aerial point clouds captured by sensor-equipped UAVs.
// Coverage / MA
Engineering-grade aerial LiDAR anywhere in Massachusetts — captured by FAA-certified pilots near your site, processed to one national QA standard, delivered in the formats your team works in.
01// Field Notes
Eastern Massachusetts is a glacial landscape of drumlins, kettle ponds, and stony soils under dense oak-and-pine cover, where LiDAR routinely picks out colonial-era stone walls and cellar holes beneath the canopy — a vivid demo of what leaf-off bare-earth modeling can do. The Berkshires add real hill terrain in the west, and Cape Cod’s sand-plain scrub and shifting shoreline present a different capture problem altogether.
Boston Logan’s Class B covers the urban core and inner suburbs, with Hanscom Field’s busy corporate traffic to the northwest and Joint Base Cape Cod’s military areas on the Upper Cape. LAANC coverage across the metro grid is good, and central Massachusetts west of Worcester flies mostly uncontrolled.
Lab and life-science construction radiating from Boston and Cambridge, offshore-wind port and staging investment at New Bedford and Salem, and dense-suburb redevelopment keep Massachusetts demand strong despite its size. Solar carports and landfill arrays — a state specialty — plus campus expansion work add reliable repeat mapping.

03// FAQ
Most Massachusetts projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large or corridor projects are quoted per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.
Yes — Pro LiDAR contracts vetted, FAA-certified pilots across Massachusetts, including the Boston area. Because capture happens locally, you don't pay travel mobilization for most sites, and weather windows can be hit quickly.
Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Massachusetts to provide it. Remote Optix Inc. and Pro LiDAR are not professional land surveyors and do not represent themselves as such.
