Minnesota grades from prairie farmland in the south and west into lake-pocked hardwood transition country and finally the boreal forest and exposed bedrock of the Arrowhead. Its tens of thousands of lakes and wetlands make water-edge definition a core deliverable, hard winters compress the flying calendar — though frozen ground can actually help site access — and southern hardwood stands reward the October-to-April leaf-off window.
Minneapolis–St. Paul’s Class B is the state’s dominant controlled airspace, with Class D fields at Rochester, Duluth, and St. Cloud and military training areas around Camp Ripley near Little Falls. The northern two-thirds of the state flies almost entirely without authorization requirements.
Twin Cities suburban development and the major medical-campus buildout in Rochester generate the bulk of construction-related demand, and hyperscale data-center projects announced in the metro’s southern suburbs are adding more. Most Minnesota projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large or corridor projects are quoted per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.

Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Minnesota to provide it.
