Drone LiDAR Scanning
Millimeter-accurate aerial point clouds captured by sensor-equipped UAVs.
// Coverage / MS
Engineering-grade aerial LiDAR anywhere in Mississippi — captured by FAA-certified pilots near your site, processed to one national QA standard, delivered in the formats your team works in.
01// Field Notes
Mississippi pairs the dead-flat alluvial Delta in its northwest — laser-leveled fields where precision drainage mapping is the product — with rolling pine-belt uplands across the center and south of the state. Planted pine captures serviceably year-round, hardwood bottoms along the rivers favor winter leaf-off flights, and long humid summers bring the afternoon storm cycles typical of the Deep South.
Jackson carries the state’s primary Class C airspace, while military training drives the picture elsewhere: Columbus Air Force Base and NAS Meridian both run high-tempo pilot training with associated airspace, and Camp Shelby’s ranges sit south of Hattiesburg. Most Delta and timberland sites fly in uncontrolled airspace.
Shipbuilding at Pascagoula and the port-and-casino corridor along the Gulf Coast anchor industrial demand, and the hyperscale data-center campus under development in Madison County has opened an entirely new market north of Jackson. Timberland mapping, ag land-leveling support in the Delta, and industrial growth in the Golden Triangle around Columbus fill out the state’s project mix.

03// FAQ
Most Mississippi projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large or corridor projects are quoted per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.
Yes — Pro LiDAR contracts vetted, FAA-certified pilots across Mississippi, including the Jackson area. Because capture happens locally, you don't pay travel mobilization for most sites, and weather windows can be hit quickly.
Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Mississippi to provide it. Remote Optix Inc. and Pro LiDAR are not professional land surveyors and do not represent themselves as such.
