Vermont is nearly wall-to-wall northern hardwood and spruce over the Green Mountain spine, which makes leaf-off flying between late October and April close to mandatory for bare-earth deliverables. Mud season complicates spring site access, and mountain weather turns quickly enough that we keep flexible windows on high-elevation work.
Burlington International's Class C — a field shared with the Vermont Air National Guard — is the state's one substantial controlled ring. Nearly everything else in Vermont is uncontrolled airspace where Part 107 operations fly without authorization.
Vermont's project mix is smaller-scale but steady: community and municipal solar arrays, ski-resort master planning, and a surveying community that uses aerial LiDAR to cover steep, wooded parcels efficiently. River-corridor and flood-recovery mapping has grown sharply since the 2023 flood events hit the state's valley towns.
