Drone LiDAR Scanning
Millimeter-accurate aerial point clouds captured by sensor-equipped UAVs.
// Coverage / WY
Engineering-grade aerial LiDAR anywhere in Wyoming — captured by FAA-certified pilots near your site, processed to one national QA standard, delivered in the formats your team works in.
01// Field Notes
Wyoming is high, open, and windy: sagebrush steppe and shortgrass prairie deliver clean ground returns, but sustained winds — especially along the I-80 corridor — are the single biggest scheduling factor we manage anywhere. Mountain work carries a short summer season, and with much of the state above 6,000 feet, density-altitude planning is standard.
Wyoming's airspace is mostly uncontrolled, with tower coordination at Cheyenne, Casper, and Jackson Hole — the last hemmed in by Grand Teton National Park, where overflight is off the table. F.E. Warren Air Force Base adds military sensitivity around Cheyenne.
Energy is Wyoming's economy and ours: wind farms in Carbon and Albany counties rank among the largest in the country, Powder River Basin coal operations need recurring volumetrics, and the Green River trona patch — the world's largest deposit — runs continuous mine-support mapping. Cheyenne's data-center and logistics growth adds a construction layer along the Colorado border.

03// FAQ
Most Wyoming projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large or corridor projects are quoted per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.
Yes — Pro LiDAR contracts vetted, FAA-certified pilots across Wyoming, including the Cheyenne area. Because capture happens locally, you don't pay travel mobilization for most sites, and weather windows can be hit quickly.
Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Wyoming to provide it. Remote Optix Inc. and Pro LiDAR are not professional land surveyors and do not represent themselves as such.
