Drone LiDAR Scanning
Millimeter-accurate aerial point clouds captured by sensor-equipped UAVs.
// Coverage / CO
Engineering-grade aerial LiDAR anywhere in Colorado — captured by FAA-certified pilots near your site, processed to one national QA standard, delivered in the formats your team works in.
01// Field Notes
Most Colorado work concentrates on the Front Range urban corridor, where shortgrass prairie meets the foothills and captures cleanly nearly year-round. Density altitude is the constant planning factor — many sites sit above 5,000 feet and mountain projects far higher, which cuts aircraft performance margins — and afternoon summer thunderstorms build over the mountains almost daily. Beetle-kill and conifer forest in the high country make LiDAR the right tool for mountain corridor and resort-area terrain.
Denver International’s Class B dominates the northeast Front Range, with Class C at Colorado Springs and military activity around Buckley Space Force Base and the Air Force Academy. LAANC covers the metro grids well, and the eastern plains and most mountain valleys are uncontrolled airspace.
Residential and commercial development along the I-25 corridor from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs generates constant topo and progress-mapping demand, with water infrastructure and floodplain studies close behind. Wind and solar buildout on the eastern plains and aggregate mining along the Front Range add repeat volumetric and pre-construction work.

03// FAQ
Most Colorado projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large or corridor projects are quoted per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.
Yes — Pro LiDAR contracts vetted, FAA-certified pilots across Colorado, including the Denver area. Because capture happens locally, you don't pay travel mobilization for most sites, and weather windows can be hit quickly.
Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Colorado to provide it. Remote Optix Inc. and Pro LiDAR are not professional land surveyors and do not represent themselves as such.
