Drone LiDAR Scanning
Millimeter-accurate aerial point clouds captured by sensor-equipped UAVs.
// Coverage / FL / Jacksonville
Engineering-grade aerial LiDAR across the Jacksonville area — captured by FAA-certified pilots who fly this market every week, processed to one national QA standard, delivered in the formats your team works in.
01// Field Notes
Jacksonville spreads across pine flatwoods cut by the St. Johns River and its tidal marshes — dense planted-pine stands are the norm on raw land, and marsh-edge elevation work benefits from LiDAR flown at low tide. The Atlantic moderates the climate; outside hurricane season and summer sea-breeze storms, the capture calendar runs nearly year-round.
Jacksonville International's Class C sits on the Northside, but the defining feature is military: NAS Jacksonville on the river, Naval Station Mayport at the inlet, and Cecil Airport — a former naval air station turned commercial spaceport — on the Westside. Our pilots build the Navy coordination into the plan; the fast-growing southern suburbs sit under much lighter airspace.
Cecil Commerce Center's distribution campuses and JAXPORT's terminal expansions anchor the logistics economy that drives industrial site work across the Westside and Northside. Downtown's riverfront is finally redeveloping — the Shipyards district and Four Seasons project among the catalysts — while Nocatee, eTown, and the broader St. Johns County corridor rank among the fastest-growing communities in the Southeast, feeding continuous subdivision and utility-corridor capture.

03// FAQ
Most Jacksonville projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large campuses and corridors are quoted per site or per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.
Because our FAA-certified pilots are local to the Jacksonville area, most sites can be captured within days of contract — weather and airspace authorization permitting — without travel mobilization costs. Processed deliverables typically follow within one to two weeks depending on scope.
Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Florida to provide it. Remote Optix Inc. and Pro LiDAR are not professional land surveyors and do not represent themselves as such.
