SVC / 01
Drone LiDAR Scanning
Millimeter-accurate aerial point clouds captured by sensor-equipped UAVs.
// Coverage / ID
Engineering-grade aerial LiDAR anywhere in Idaho — captured by FAA-certified pilots near your site, processed to one national QA standard, delivered in the formats your team works in.
01// Field Notes
The Snake River Plain arcs across southern Idaho as open sagebrush and irrigated farmland that captures cleanly through a long dry season, while the central and northern mountains stack steep conifer-covered ridges where snowpack limits access from late fall into spring. High-elevation sites push density-altitude planning, and smoke from late-summer wildfires can degrade capture quality in bad fire years.
Boise’s Class C is the state’s primary controlled airspace, sharing the field with the Gowen Field air guard operation, and Mountain Home Air Force Base commands training airspace over the desert to the southeast. Nearly everywhere else in Idaho, Part 107 flights launch in uncontrolled airspace without authorization.
The Treasure Valley around Boise remains one of the fastest-growing regions in the West, and its subdivision, school, and commercial construction drives most Idaho topo demand — with Micron’s fab expansion adding major industrial site work. Irrigation and canal infrastructure on the Snake River Plain and phosphate mining in the southeast contribute steady engineering and volumetric projects.

03// FAQ
Most Idaho projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large or corridor projects are quoted per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.
Yes — Pro LiDAR contracts vetted, FAA-certified pilots across Idaho, including the Boise area. Because capture happens locally, you don't pay travel mobilization for most sites, and weather windows can be hit quickly.
Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Idaho to provide it. Remote Optix Inc. and Pro LiDAR are not professional land surveyors and do not represent themselves as such.
