Drone LiDAR Scanning
Millimeter-accurate aerial point clouds captured by sensor-equipped UAVs.
// Coverage / ID / Boise
Engineering-grade aerial LiDAR across the Boise area — captured by FAA-certified pilots who fly this market every week, processed to one national QA standard, delivered in the formats your team works in.
01// Field Notes
The Treasure Valley is open sagebrush bench and irrigated farmland stepping down to the Boise River, backed by steep, sparsely vegetated foothills that scan clean — easy capture geometry almost everywhere growth is happening. Winter inversions can hold haze and low stratus over the valley floor for days, so December-and-January schedules stay flexible; the rest of the year is dry and dependable.
Boise Airport shares its Class C runways with Gowen Field, the Idaho Air National Guard base, mixing airline, A-10, and training traffic over the south side of the city. Nampa and Caldwell keep general aviation active down-valley, and Mountain Home AFB with its training ranges sits far enough southeast that most Treasure Valley work flies without military coordination.
Micron's multibillion-dollar fab expansion at its southeast Boise campus is the state's largest construction undertaking and feeds a supplier and housing ripple across the whole valley, while Meta's data center in Kuna put hyperscale on the local map. Meridian, Nampa, and Caldwell rank among the nation's fastest-growing cities, generating relentless subdivision, school, and utility work, and I-84 corridor distribution projects — Amazon's Nampa fulfillment center among them — keep large-format industrial capture in demand.

03// FAQ
Most Boise projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large campuses and corridors are quoted per site or per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.
Because our FAA-certified pilots are local to the Boise area, most sites can be captured within days of contract — weather and airspace authorization permitting — without travel mobilization costs. Processed deliverables typically follow within one to two weeks depending on scope.
Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Idaho to provide it. Remote Optix Inc. and Pro LiDAR are not professional land surveyors and do not represent themselves as such.
