Drone LiDAR Scanning
Millimeter-accurate aerial point clouds captured by sensor-equipped UAVs.
// Coverage / OH
Engineering-grade aerial LiDAR anywhere in Ohio — captured by FAA-certified pilots near your site, processed to one national QA standard, delivered in the formats your team works in.
01// Field Notes
Glaciated western and northern Ohio is flat, open farmland that captures cleanly in any season, while the unglaciated southeast breaks into steep Appalachian hills under hardwood canopy that calls for leaf-off flights between November and April. Lake Erie weather adds cloud and wind volatility to projects along the north coast.
Cleveland Hopkins carries a Class B, John Glenn Columbus a Class C, and the Cincinnati Class B spills across the Ohio River to cover that metro's Ohio suburbs. Wright-Patterson AFB's airspace near Dayton is the main military coordination point, and LAANC makes urban authorizations near-instant across all four metros.
Central Ohio has become a national data-center story — hyperscale campuses in New Albany and across Licking County, plus the Intel fab site's massive earthwork program, generate continuous topo and progress-mapping demand. Statewide, logistics construction along I-70 and I-71 and utility-scale solar in rural counties keep the pipeline full.

03// FAQ
Most Ohio projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large or corridor projects are quoted per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.
Yes — Pro LiDAR contracts vetted, FAA-certified pilots across Ohio, including the Columbus area. Because capture happens locally, you don't pay travel mobilization for most sites, and weather windows can be hit quickly.
Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Ohio to provide it. Remote Optix Inc. and Pro LiDAR are not professional land surveyors and do not represent themselves as such.
