Drone LiDAR Scanning
Millimeter-accurate aerial point clouds captured by sensor-equipped UAVs.
// Coverage / TX
Engineering-grade aerial LiDAR anywhere in Texas — captured by FAA-certified pilots near your site, processed to one national QA standard, delivered in the formats your team works in.
01// Field Notes
Texas capture work spans coastal plains around Houston, dense mesquite and juniper canopy in the Hill Country, and wide-open Panhandle rangeland. Vegetation-penetrating LiDAR earns its keep here: bare-earth models under cedar brush routinely reveal drainage features photogrammetry misses, and long clear-weather windows make year-round scheduling reliable outside of spring storm season.
The DFW Class B shelf is one of the busiest in the country, and Houston (IAH/HOU), Austin, and San Antonio each add their own controlled airspace rings. Our pilots secure LAANC authorizations for urban-core work as a matter of routine; most rural and exurban sites fly under Part 107 with no waiver at all.
Texas leads the nation in construction starts, utility-scale solar buildout in West Texas, and a data-center boom stretching from Dallas through San Antonio. Site-development topo for master-planned communities, pre-bid surfaces for highway work, and repeat progress mapping on industrial projects make up the bulk of our Texas flight hours.

03// FAQ
Most Texas projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large or corridor projects are quoted per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.
Yes — Pro LiDAR contracts vetted, FAA-certified pilots across Texas, including the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Because capture happens locally, you don't pay travel mobilization for most sites, and weather windows can be hit quickly.
Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Texas to provide it. Remote Optix Inc. and Pro LiDAR are not professional land surveyors and do not represent themselves as such.
