Austin splits along the Balcones Escarpment: limestone canyons choked with ashe juniper and live oak to the west, open blackland farm ground to the east where the biggest sites are landing. Flash-flood creeks like Onion and Walnut make drainage-grade terrain data a constant ask, and outside of spring storm cells the flying weather is generous most of the year.
Austin-Bergstrom's Class C anchors the southeast side, with Austin Executive to the north and San Marcos Regional to the south bracketing the metro in busy general-aviation traffic. Most of the growth corridors — Taylor, Hutto, Leander, Kyle — sit in Class G, so a large share of our Central Texas missions launch with no authorization wait at all.
Samsung's fab campus at Taylor and Tesla's Giga Texas on the Colorado River east of the airport anchor two of the largest active industrial sites in the country, each pulling suppliers and utility upgrades into the SH 130 corridor around them. The Domain and North Burnet keep vertical construction going, and the I-35 growth spine from Georgetown to San Marcos generates continuous subdivision, school, and roadway capture work.

Most Austin projects fall between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on acreage, vegetation, deliverables, and whether certified survey control is required. Small single-site scans start lower; large campuses and corridors are quoted per site or per linear mile. Send a KML of your site and we return an exact quote within 24 hours.
Because our FAA-certified pilots are local to the Austin area, most sites can be captured within days of contract — weather and airspace authorization permitting — without travel mobilization costs. Processed deliverables typically follow within one to two weeks depending on scope.
Our point clouds, DEMs, and contours are engineering-grade and drop directly into CAD, GIS, and BIM workflows. When a deliverable must carry a professional land surveyor's certification, we partner with licensed surveyors in Texas to provide it. Remote Optix Inc. and Pro LiDAR are not professional land surveyors and do not represent themselves as such.
